1.   How does pleasing one's neighbor for his good differ from "people pleasing." Who do you focus on pleasing - yourself, others, or Christ?









2.   Compare verse 4 with 2 Timothy 3:16 and 1 Corinthians 10:11. Why is it essential for Christians to study the Bible?









3.   List some examples of prejudice you observe around you. Explain how verse 7 helps keep Christians from prejudice.









4.   God's promise to Abram (Genesis 12:3) was "all people on earth will be blessed through you." The patriarchs rejoiced in knowing all nations would come to faith. How are you reaching out to your family, neighbors, and friends to help them come to love and trust Jesus as Savior?









5.   What makes it possible for Christians to have hope? (See Romans 15:13) How would you be different if you were able to overflow with joy and peace?
